Drums

Matt is the drummer in the band and is relied up on for the count-ins and the big rock endings. He has been known to bring along a few additional guest instruments to add variety and a bit of mystery to his strident performances 

History:

Matt started off playing the drums at the age of 11 when he joined a marching band in his home town of Braintree - Essex. He quickly moved onto to kit drumming and joined his first rock and roll band at school aged just 13. Matt has occuipied the drum seat in many bands over the years including Krackers, Personal Best and most recently the trio 3Play and top local function band Rebound. Matt Joined the JJarrs on a temporary basis in 2008 and became the full time drummer in January 2009.

Matt is still connected with the marching band movement providing tuition to trainees in the local youth marching bands

Most artists from the 80's: Nik Kershaw, Level 42, George Michael, Elton John, Chicago

Drumming Influences:

Steve Gadd, Vinnie Colaiuta, Gavin Harrison, Craig Blundell and just about anyone that has picked up a pair of drum sticks

The Script, Nerina Pallot, Take That, The Feeling, My Chemical Romance

Other Interests:

Eating Food, Cooking Food, Spending time with family and his dog
