Matthew is one of the two lead singers in the band combining powerful vocal performances in the Rock & Soul numbers or combining with Russell for some exquisite harmonies. Matthew also plays the acoustic and 12 string guitars in the band and has been known to tickle the ivories every now and then

History:

Matthew started off his music carrier as a solo artiste playing keyboards and singing in local pubs around East Hertfordshire. He later joined a 5 piece band that focused on original music again playing keyboards and occasionally strumming the guitar, later becoming that bands lead singer whilst also playing keys for a resident band in a music venue in Bishops Stortford. Matthew joined up with Russell on a number of occasions through the 90's helping record some original music and actually playing bass with Russell on one or two occasions. Matthew joined Russell again to form the core of The JJarrs in 2001.
